Instructions

Pour sprinkles into a small bowl. Be sure the bowl you use is wide enough for the donut to fit.
Dip each donut into icing so the top is completely covered. Followed by dunking the donuts into sprinkles.
Fancy Tip: Make sure you move your donut in a circular motion while it is getting dunked in the sprinkles. This will help get full coverage!
Take your store-bought ice cream sandwiches and dunk each side into the bowl. Make sure all four sides are fully covered.
Fancy Tip: If ice cream sandwiches aren’t your jam, you can do this glow up for cookie sandwiches or macarons too!
Cut the tip off your piping bag and place your piping tip inside. Twist the bag into the piping tip so it creates a barrier for when you place your frosting. Place frosting into piping bag.
Fancy Tip: Use a cup to set the opened bag on top so it is wide enough for you to add the frosting.
Use your dominant hand to hold the piping bag. Hold it an inch away from your coffee cake at a 90 degree angle. Start to add pressure to the bag as you move your hand in a circular motion. Slowly release pressure from the piping bag to complete your swirl.
Fancy Tip: If you don’t like coffee cake use this method to pipe on other pastries—cupcakes, mini cakes, muffins, ect. Anything goes!
Lightly sprinkle the edges of the frosting to create a sprinkle crown on your swirl!
